Covid19 deep disinfect and general pest control update

Its been a while since our last blog for obvious reasons, the UK government decided that pest control was indeed an essential service and all pest control technicians are key workers and very often in a front line role.

There has been quite a lot of press coverage regarding an increase in rodent numbers during the lockdown period, this is true due to our towns becoming empty of people and the lack of food in shop bins and the long period that pest controllers were not allowed to work.

So now that we are back at work we are very busy with rodents, insects and coronavirus deep disinfectant in and around Kings Lynn & West Norfolk.

We have successfully completed 7 Coronavirus deep disinfectant treatments in the last couple of weeks on a variety of premises in the local area.

Pests are unaffected by coronavirus

So of course coronavirus is on everybody's mind in this challenging and uncertain time, however the rats, mice and insects that can invade our homes & business simply don't care and are intent on survival much like ourselves.

Deep disinfectant solutions to help guard against Coronavirus

At Mole Control & Pest Services we’re specialists in providing a rapid solution in preventing viruses spreading in the school or workplace environment and are committed to using the latest equipment to deal with medium and large scale premises. One of the methods we use is called ULV. ULV is Ultra Low Volume fogging/misting which can cover a large space very quickly.

In order to achieve maximum reach of the disinfectant, the mist settles in hard to reach areas due to the specific size of the molecules dispersed (15 microns). These sized molecules have been found to access areas in which larger molecules cannot enter and thus creating greater coverage killing airborne or settled viruses, bacteria and fungi.

We also use Electrostatic Application alongside the ULV. The Electrostatic Application disperses a targeted fog at specific areas creating a positive charge that enables the spray to wrap around the target binding to it. This creates added protection for items that are touched regularly like chairs, keyboards, door handles, toilets, gym equipment etc.

The products we use kill Norovirus (winter vomiting bug), food poisoning organisms such as E.coli antibiotic resistant bacteria MRSA & is also effective against Coronavirus, the application can be used in a wide variety of premises.

Coronavirus has been confirmed in the UK and the public are reminded to wash their hands and clean/disinfect frequently items that are touched regularly. We use virucidal disinfectants and one in particular has inferred efficacy against coronavirus.

Using ULV and Electrostatic spraying in conjunction

with your normal cleaning programme will ensure that all departments are fully cleansed and disinfected.
